At the point of time, Indian Bank intends to recruit eligible Indian Nationals at1201 vacancy of Clerks. Regarding this, Online applications are being invited from suitable candidates, who have qualified in IBPS Clerk 2011 exam. All such Indian Nationals may send their Online applications between period of 29th June to 13th July 2012. Educational Qualification: – Should have passed 12th or equivalent exam with not less than 50% marks / Diploma in Banking from  govt. recognized institutions.

Besides of having shown minimum qualification, applicants should have qualified as per their category in IBPS Clerk exam. Unreserved candidates obtained 24 & above marks in  each paper of IBPS clerk are liable to apply. While reserved candidates (SC/ST/OBC) & PWD & Ex-servicemen requires 21 & above IBPS marks to be eligible to apply.

Limitation of Age (as on 01.08.2011): – Not less than 18 years and not above to 28 years.

Age Relaxation: – Upper age limit would be extended by 05 years for candidates of SC/ST, Dependent of 1984 riot victim & Domicile of J&K of turbulent areas. PH candidates may call for 10 years concession and OBC for 03 years.

Scale of Pay: – Rs. 7200-19300/- with other admissible allowances.

Process of Selection: – By the means of personal Interview candidates will be selected.

Period of Probation: – As the earliest part of appointment 06 months of timing would be spent on probation.

Application Fee: –  Rs. 100/- (Rs. 20/- for SC/ST /PWD / Exs) to be deposited as application fee through payment challan of Indian Bank. Candidates are required to download format of payment challan through below link and approach nearest Indian Bank branch for making payment.

How to apply: – As said earlier, only Online applications will be accepted from suitable Indian Nationals up to 13th July 2012. Motive to send online applications would be completed after visiting career page of Indian Bank or following through below link ‘Apply Online’.

Candidates prompting to apply should have their own active e-mail ID & Contract No. and they have to make payment at Indian Bank branches. After making payment, such persons will have to follow below link to send their Online applications. It is expected that all the information putted in Online are true and best of applicants knowledge.

After successful submission of Online applications print out should be taken by applicants. The system generated Online Registration and Counterfoil of payment challan to be needed at the time of Interview, so keep these thing intact and present at the time of Interview.

Selection Process for admission to Baroda – Manipal School of Banking for the year 2012-13

Baroda - Manipal School of Banking has been set up jointly by Bank of Baroda and Manipal group. The school has been set up to attract bright young graduates to a career in Banking with Bank of Baroda where they are first trained in Banking and Finance before their embarking on the Banking career. The students go through a one –year full-time residential training programme which is conducted at the Baroda Manipal school of Banking campus at Bangalore. Those who successfully complete this one year intensive programme are awarded a Post Graduate Diploma in Banking and are absorbed as Probationary officers in the Bank in JMG/S-I.

The students are selected through a rigorous selection process and given a systematic training in various areas of Banking and management disciplines in order to make them ready Bankers by the time they finish the programme.

The thrust of the training is to impart functional knowledge on general management and specialized knowledge on Banking related topics and subjects. Participants are put through a rigorous on-campus curriculum spread over 9 months and 3 trimesters which emphasizes on application of knowledge and overall development of personality. Training at the school will be supplemented with practical training in Various Branches of Bank of Baroda through a focused 3-month internship period.

The Baroda Manipal School of Banking (BMSB) was inaugurated by Shri M.D.Mallya, Chairman and Managing Director of Bank of Baroda on 29th August’2011. Since then, 4 batches of students have already been inducted in BMSB over the last one year, one batch every 3 months, comprising of around 180 students per batch.

Salient features of this one-year programme are as under:

1. The programme has blended curriculum with classroom, e-learning and internship.
2. It imparts knowledge and skills in core banking, specialized areas in Banking besides managerial skills, etiquette, grooming and language skills.
3. The classroom sessions (9 months, trimester pattern) is conducted at the Baroda Manipal school of Banking and internship (3 months ) at any Bank of Baroda branch or office (within India).
4. The students are paid a stipend amount every month for the entire 12 month duration of the programme in order to meet their out of pocket expenses and their living expenses.
5. The students will get assured employment with Bank of Baroda on successful completion of the programme.
6. Bank of Baroda provides full financing of the programme fees on very concessional terms to all students.
7. The entire fees as well as an additional amount covering the total loan amount as well as interest thereon reimbursed by the Bank progressively after completion of certain number of years with the Bank as “loyalty bonus”.
8. On successful completion of the I year Post Graduate Diploma Programme in Banking and Finance (PGDBF) from BMSB and after joining the Bank , candidates will also have an opportunity to pursue MBA / higher degree programs offered by specific universities within the Manipal Global Education Framework (MGEF). Such programs are offered as enriching and convenient workplace learning initiatives through distance education and online modes. Credits accruing on completion of the PGDBF qualify for recognition and lateral entry into specific MGEF programs. Further details can be obtained at the appropriate time by POs from counsellors of MGEF.
